網站建設完成之后，第一件事情就是向各大搜索引擎提交新網站。搜索引擎提交包括提交給搜索引擎爬蟲和提交給分類目錄。提交給搜索引擎爬蟲的目的是讓搜索引擎將網站收錄到索引數據庫。檢驗網站是否被搜索引擎收錄的辦法是直接在搜索引擎中搜索網址，查看能否找到網站結果，也可以通過輸入命令site:www.jzgoldcomte.com.cn獲得具體的頁面收錄數量。

提交給搜索引擎分類目錄有兩個目的：一是為了用戶通過分類目錄檢索到網站，二是為網站獲得一個高質量的外部鏈接，有助于增加網站的鏈接廣度。

Yahoo!：https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ 雅虎英文站，因為同微軟的bing合作關系，提交sitemap后提示已經提交給了微軟。

Ask：http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http://www.YourWebSite.com/sitemap.xml 修改紅色部分的url為自己的sitemap地址，直接在瀏覽器提交。

最后，在robots.txt文件中添加sitemap，搜索引擎抓取robots.txt的時候就可以獲取sitemap。方法非常簡單，只要在robots.txt的第一行或者最后一行按以下格式加入sitemap地址即可。
